About Imneskibart
Imneskibart (AU-007) is a human IgG1 monoclonal antibody designed by leveraging artificial intelligence that is highly selective to the CD25-binding portion of IL-2. With a mechanism of action unlike any other IL-2 therapeutic in development, imneskibart redirects IL-2 to reinforce anti-tumor immune effects. This is achieved by preventing IL-2, either exogenous or secreted by effector T cells, from binding to trimeric receptors on regulatory T cells while still allowing IL-2 to bind and expand effector T cells and NK cells. This prevents the negative feedback loop caused by other IL-2-based treatments and biases the immune system toward activation over suppression. Imneskibart also prevents IL-2 from binding to CD25-containing receptors on eosinophils, as well as vasculature and pulmonary endothelium, which may significantly reduce the vascular leak syndrome and pulmonary edema associated with high-dose IL-2 therapy.

Akiram Therapeutics: First clinical results from AKIR001 to be presented at EANM 2026

On October 13, 2026 Akiram Therapeutics, a Swedish clinical-stage biotech company specializing in molecular radiotherapy, reported that the first clinical data from the ongoing Phase I trial of its lead drug candidate 177Lu-AKIR001 will be presented at the EANM 2026 Congress in Vienna, October 17–21. Preliminary results show a favorable safety profile within the investigated activity range and sustained tumor retention, supporting continued dose escalation and further clinical evaluation of AKIR001.

The abstract presenting the first clinical results from the ongoing first-in-human trial has been selected as a Top Rated Oral Presentation (TROP) at EANM 2026. The study is evaluating ¹⁷⁷Lu-AKIR001 in patients with irresectable or metastatic CD44v6-positive solid tumors who have no remaining standard treatment options.

At the data cut-off, eight patients had been treated. No dose-limiting toxicities were observed, and treatment-related adverse events were limited to grade 1–2. Four patients received repeat treatment after the first administration.

Quantitative imaging showed sustained tumor retention of ¹⁷⁷Lu-AKIR001, with clearance from blood and normal tissues. Low CD44v6 expression, as determined by immunohistochemistry (IHC), was consistently associated with low absorbed tumor doses. These findings highlight the potential of IHC as a valuable tool for patient stratification and optimized patient selection prior to treatment.

"These first clinical results represent an important milestone for AKIR001. We are encouraged by the safety profile and sustained tumor retention observed so far. It is particularly encouraging that patients have been able to receive repeat treatment, which is an important consideration as development progresses," says Marika Nestor, CEO of Akiram Therapeutics.

A second study involving Akiram’s CD44v6-targeting platform has also been selected as a Top Rated Oral Presentation at EANM 2026. This preclinical study evaluates AKIR001 and a derived scFv antibody format for theranostic applications in bladder cancer, extending the evaluation of Akiram’s approach to a new tumor type and antibody format.

AKIR001 is a targeted radiopharmaceutical drug candidate that combines the therapeutic radioisotope lutetium-177 with a proprietary antibody targeting CD44v6, a tumor-associated antigen expressed in several solid tumor types. The approach is designed to deliver radiation selectively to tumor cells while limiting exposure to healthy tissue. AKIR001 is currently being evaluated in a first-in-human Phase I clinical trial (NCT06639191) at Karolinska University Hospital.

ArriVent Announces First Patient Dosed with Novel Tetravalent MUC16/NaPi2b Dual Target ADC, ARR-002

On October 12, 2026 ArriVent BioPharma, Inc. (Company or ArriVent) (Nasdaq: AVBP), a clinical-stage company dedicated to accelerating the global development of innovative biopharmaceutical therapeutics, reported that it dosed its first patient in the Phase 1 trial in the U.S. with ARR-002 (NCT07755436), a potential first-in-class MUC16/NaPi2b dual-target tetravalent antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) for ovarian and endometrial cancer.

"We are pleased to have dosed our first patient with ARR-002, our second ADC from our portfolio to enter the clinic," said Stuart Lutzker, MD, Ph.D., President of Research and Development at ArriVent. "Both MUC16 and NaPi2b are highly over-expressed in ovarian and endometrial cancer, and the dual targeting approach of ARR-002 is designed to overcome a key limitation of single-target ADCs in solid tumors where target expression can be heterogenous and can limit effective payload delivery to all tumor cells."

Continues Dr. Lutzker, "The entry of ARR-002 into the clinic for ovarian and endometrial cancer broadens our clinical pipeline beyond lung and gastrointestinal cancers, where we also have active programs."

In August 2026, ArriVent entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with Shanghai Allist Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. to develop and commercialize ARR-002 in Greater China, which includes mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, with all other rights retained by ArriVent.
