MiNK Therapeutics to Present Data on Treatment-Resistant Colorectal Cancer and Clearance of Senescent Tumor Cells and Fibroblasts at SITC 2026

On October 2, 2026 MiNK Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: INKT), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company pioneering allogeneic invariant natural killer T (allo-iNKT) cell therapies to restore immune balance and treat immune-mediated diseases and cancer, reported two poster presentations at the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) (Free SITC Whitepaper) 41st Annual Meeting. The presentations address two distinct areas of cancer research: tumor-cell killing in checkpoint inhibitor–resistant colorectal cancer liver metastases and elimination of senescent tumor cells and fibroblasts.

The first presentation examines agenT-797 alone and in combination with botensilimab and balstilimab (BOT+BAL) in a human organoid model of immune checkpoint inhibitor–refractory colorectal cancer liver metastases. This preclinical research supports the rationale for the ongoing Phase 2 trial at Scripps, led by Darren Sigal, M.D., evaluating the combination in patients with previously treated microsatellite-stable (MSS) metastatic colorectal cancer with liver metastases (NCT07550088).

The second examines native agenT-797 and engineered MiNK-215, a FAP-targeting CAR-iNKT cell therapy incorporating IL-15, in oncogenic in vitro models of senescent tumor cells and fibroblasts.

Together, the presentations highlight complementary opportunities for MiNK’s platform; addressing treatment-resistant cancer and targeting senescent cancer and stromal cells.

The clinical milestone-linked common warrants are tied to Pyxis Oncology’s public disclosure of overall survival data (the "OS Data Release Date") from its ongoing Phase 1 monotherapy study of micvotabart pelidotin ("MICVO") in second-line and beyond ("2L+") recurrent/metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma ("R/M HNSCC"), which is expected to occur in the first half of 2027. The warrants have an exercise price of $3.50 per common share, a 21% premium to the $2.90 public offering price. If all milestone-linked warrants are exercised in full for cash, the Offering would provide Pyxis Oncology with approximately $172.6 million in additional gross proceeds, for a total of approximately $282.6 million in gross proceeds, before deducting applicable expenses.

The common warrants will become exercisable only upon approval by the Company’s stockholders of an amendment to the Company’s certificate of incorporation to increase the number of authorized shares of common stock and the effectiveness of that amendment (the date of such effectiveness, the "Charter Amendment Effective Date"), and will expire upon the earlier of (i) the fifth anniversary of the Charter Amendment Effective Date and (ii) the 30th calendar day following the later of (x) the Charter Amendment Effective Date and (y) the OS Data Release Date.

The Offering included participation from new and existing institutional investors, including OrbiMed, GordonMD Global Investments, BVF Partners, Coastlands Capital, and RTW Investments.

Leerink Partners, Guggenheim Securities and Wells Fargo Securities acted as joint bookrunning managers for the Offering.

Pyxis Oncology intends to use the net proceeds from the Offering to advance its lead clinical program, MICVO, through key clinical milestones, including Headliner, its planned Phase 3 trial in 2L+ R/M HNSCC, and for working capital and general corporate purposes. The Company also plans to disclose updated data from its ongoing Phase 1/2 combination dose escalation study of MICVO and Merck’s (known as MSD outside of the US and Canada) anti-PD-1 therapy KEYTRUDA (pembrolizumab) for first-line (1L) R/M HNSCC patients in the fourth quarter of 2026.

About [²¹²Pb]VMT-01

Perspective designed [212Pb]VMT01 to target and deliver 212Pb to metastatic melanoma tumor sites expressing MC1R, a protein that can be overexpressed in metastatic melanoma tumors.1 The Company is conducting a multi-center, open-label dose escalation, dose expansion study (clinicaltrials.gov identifier NCT05655312) in patients with histologically confirmed melanoma and MC1R-positive imaging scans.

Interim analysis with a data cut-off date of March 25, 2026 was presented at the 2026 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) (Free ASCO Whitepaper) Annual Meeting in May 2026. Highlights from the ASCO (Free ASCO Whitepaper) analysis included the following:

Patients were heavily pre-treated prior to entering trial with a median of 4 prior lines of systemic therapy (including prior checkpoint inhibitors)

One new response was observed early in the 3.0 mCi monotherapy cohort, in addition to a previously reported response, for a total of two responders out of seven treated patients

Six patients (86%) experienced stable disease or partial response out of the seven patients in the 3.0 mCi monotherapy cohort; four patients completed all three treatments with 24 weeks or more of follow-up since their first treatment, and two remained on treatment and in study
[²¹²Pb]VMT01 was well-tolerated with no dose limiting toxicities (DLTs), no discontinuations due to adverse events, and no Grade 4 or Grade 5 treatment emergent adverse events (TEAEs)
Eight (30%) patients out of a total of 27 patients treated experienced Grade 3 TEAEs
